A school based mentoring program for youth in Kindergarten through 8th grades [currently in 4 locations]. Mentor matches meet for one hour per week for a minimum of 1 school year [late September to late May].

“Mentoring Friends” is a community based program serving youth ages 6 – 17 in Kent County. Mentors in this program are matched with children whose parents are incarcerated or have some other connection with the criminal justice system.

This mentoring program offers a wide variety of services including one-on-one community based matches, groups, school-based mentoring, and a mentoring opportunity for young moms. Serving at-risk youth ages 10-25 years old in the Grand Rapids community, this program aims to engage, empower and equip youth and young adults with knowledge and skills to realize their unique potential and place in the world.
